Maxxis Minion DHF 29x2.60 Tire

The Minion DHF is the standard by which all other aggressive mountain tyres are measured. The DHF incorporates ramped knobs for low rolling resistance and channel-cut knobs to increase gripping edges, giving straight-line control and precise cornering. The standard by which all tyres are judged, the Minion DHF is best suited for loose, loose/hard, medium, and wet conditions, offering excellent cornering control, rolling efficiency, and performance.

Dual Compound Technology: Two compounds are used within the tread of select tyres to offer lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip.

EXO: An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material is added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.

Wide Trail (WT) Construction: The tyre's tread layout and profile are optimised for today's modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider's preference.

Tubeless Ready: Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. Our TR tyres use a standard casing and require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight.
